Technology (again)

by Journey to Health Program Director, Becky Anderson

I do my best to keep our topics informative and helpful. What I’m finding, though, is that technology is an ongoing topic that I need to put in the rotation more often. In looking at an updated technology blog, I have learned so much myself.

This time I am dialing in on home equipment and streaming services that I have researched that appear to be a good investment. I have looked into fitness mirrors for my own home, but I have never gotten too serious about it. I am back to wanting one after seeing all of the benefits they offer. A fitness mirror, such as Forme Studio, takes little space and can be a regular mirror when powered off. When doing a class using the Forme Studio, you see the instructor as well as your own reflection, so that helps to check your form. There are a variety of classes to choose from, so that helps prevent boredom.

Along the same lines, a valuable streaming service that can help keep you active at-home and on-the-go is Apple Fitness+. If you’re an Apple customer (as the majority of us are), you can access a variety of studio-style classes on your iPhone, iPad, or with AppleTV. Also, if you look around, a lot of times you can get a free trial before you start an actual subscription.

As always, find what works to keep you active, and make that your go to! Please let me know if you have any question. Let’s get moving!!
