Meal Prepping
by Journey to Health Program Director, Becky Anderson
There are crucial things that you can do to improve your chances for making permanent, healthy lifestyle choices:
- drinking water (1/2 your body weight in ounces each day)
- exercising regularly (20-30 minutes of physical activity each day)
- getting good food choices
The last one is the tricky one for me. Each of you have to find what works best for you and make a plan that you know you can stick with. For me I know I have busy mornings, but I also know I have to start my day off with good nutrition because it dictates how the rest of my day goes as far as eating. I start every day with a Robard nutritional supplement. For my lunch and snacks, I make sure to have healthy options on hand so I know I’m getting good nutrition and I don’t have to plan on the run. But then comes dinner. With a busy family I never know how much time I will have. If any. So what I have found that my family and I enjoy are Hello Fresh meals. I have gotten used to making sure to put my meals into the app, and I know what to expect when they come.
There are so many meal prep options, like Hello Fresh, that I encourage you to look into some and try a few. One will be “the one” that you find is best and easiest for you. If you want to try Hello Fresh (they don’t pay me to be a spokesperson), just let me know and I can enter your email to receive a free box to try.
