Here comes 2026!!!
by Journey to Health Program Director, Becky Anderson
I do like the idea of setting goals going into a New Year, but I hesitate to call them resolutions.
Goals are very important to have anytime, but here is my precaution aimed at setting these goals leading into a New Year—
*just like any time of year, keep your goals SMART!!
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Relevant
Time-bound
*it’s ok to set a handful of goals. I would not set more than 4 or 5, but I would prioritize them. Start with the most important one, master that one, and then move onto the next. Avoid trying to make too many changes simultaneously.
*don’t beat yourself up. If you’re not perfect, don’t beat yourself up. Learn from the setback, make adjustments, and get back after it.
*most importantly, remember that, no matter what, You. Are. AWESOME!!
Happy New Year!
