Tips for Exercising When It’s Cold Outside

If you’re a person that doesn’t enjoy exercise anyway, there are things that can make it easy for you to cancel your appointment for exercise on any particular day. It’s too hot, it’s raining, my dog is sick, I have a headache, I need new shoes, I have errands to run, I’m having a bad hair day. The list goes on and on.
Now, I know some of you live where you don’t have to worry about the bitter cold, but for a lot of people, dealing with frigid temperatures is a real thing.
When winter settles in, if you have a good exercise routine going on, don’t stop! It’s a great habit to have–being active on a daily routine. Above are some tips for staying active in the cold weather. Look at it as a new challenge; an adventure. Bundle up and go on a walk, go sledding with your kids, shovel your sidewalks, build a snowman, make it fun. Worse case scenario, it’s a good reason to join a gym and get started on a exercise regimen there.
